        En el Estadio Libertadores de América, Independiente venció a Gimnasia LP por 1 a 0. El único lo marcó Silvio Romero a 21 minutos del segundo tiempo. El Rojo tuvo pasajes de buen juego durante varios momentos del partido, pero careció de situaciones claras de gol.
